The course contains building on knowledge of basic English structure, writing of more complex sentences and simple paragraphs, development of reading and vocabulary skills, continued practice of the sounds of English, and more complex conversational situations with emphasis on idiomatic English. Orientation to British culture, including topics such as family life, student life, and social skills is also included.

Orientation to British culture, including discussion of customs and society is also included. Students have a choice of options at this level: IELTS, English for Business and Science, Academic Writing, or Speaking and Listening.

Full-time students have a choice of options at this level: IELTS, English for Business and Science, Academic Writing, or Speaking and Listening.
